About Me

Born and raised in Hamburg – and I have had the privilege of living here for over 28 years. I am passionate about this city and my neighbourhood of Langenhorn in particular.

My academic path led me from studying to become a teacher to my current job as an educational researcher specialising in computer science education at the University of Hamburg. Digital transformation? That’s right up my street!

The German Informatics Society gives me the opportunity to play an active role in shaping computer science education in Germany and to network for political issues.

As head of the special interest group for computer science education in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, I am committed to the nationwide introduction of computer science as a compulsory subject in schools in order to make computer science education accessible to all.

In the SPD Hamburg, I am involved as deputy chairman of the Hamburg Working Group for Education, in the local association and as a delegate at various levels for forward-looking policies.
